Michael B. Albert, M.D. is a board certified gastroenterologist with over 35 years of practice experience and is former Section Chief at the Sibley Memorial/Johns Hopkins Hospital in Washington DC. He has held faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Board of Gastroenterology and American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Albert is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic and Duke University Medical Center and fellowship in gastroenterology at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Albert is a member of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Legacy Society and is founder of the Michael B. Albert, M.D. Scholarship Fund at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Albert has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, book, book chapters, and review articles.
