Jeff Schoenberg has been a national leader in the emerging field of Pay for Success/Social Impact Bonds, playing a pivotal role in building outcomes-based, public-private human capital investments, as well as counseling numerous other grantees and prospective funders in social impact investments. Through this work, Jeff advises results-oriented funders, their grantees and public partners driven to change public policies that improve the life outcomes of vulnerable young children, their families and their communities.
He previously served as assistant majority leader in the Illinois State Senate, representing communities in Chicago’s northern suburbs.
With nearly twenty-five years of experience advising private and corporate funders, in 2013, he concluded a successful twenty-two-year career in the Illinois legislature to focus exclusively on an expanded role in guiding the Pritzker family’s philanthropy, constructing and curating the Pritzker Children’s Initiative portfolio of nationally recognized early childhood investments.
