Catriona Macdonald is an accomplished policy advocate with deep expertise in domestic social policy. Catriona’s experience on Capitol Hill includes working for Senator Edward Kennedy on the Senate Labor Committee; staffing domestic social issues and appropriations for Congressman Steny Hoyer, the former House Majority Leader; and serving as the Legislative Director for Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, the current Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee. Her experience in the executive branch includes working as a budget and policy analyst in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget at the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Catriona has particular expertise in navigating policy issues on behalf of high-profile and high net worth individuals in support of at-risk and underserved populations. Current and past clients include the Gates, Buffet, Pritzker and George Kaiser Foundations, as well as BDT Capital. Catriona is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
